Full Loki/Natasha scene transcript

  • Loki: There are not many people who can sneak up on me.
  • Natasha: But you figured I'd come.
  • Loki: After. After whatever tortures Fury can concede, you would appear as a friend, as a balm, and I would co-operate.
  • Natasha: I wanna know what you've done to Agent Barton.
  • Loki: I'd say I've expanded his mind!
  • Natasha: And once you've won, once you're King of the mountain, what happens to his mind?
  • Loki: (laughs) Is this love, Agent Romanoff?
  • Natasha: Love is for children. I owe him a debt.
  • Loki: Tell me.
  • Natasha: (hesitates) Before I worked for SHIELD, I, uh... well, I made a name for myself. I have a very specific skill set. I didn't care who I used it for, or on. I got on SHIELD's radar in a bad way. Agent Barton was sent to kill me... he made a different call.
  • Loki: And what will you do if I vow to spare him?
  • Natasha: Not let you out.
  • Loki: Oh no, but I like this. Your world in the balance, and you bargain for one man?
  • Natasha: Regimes fall everyday. I tend not to weep over that, I'm Russian... or I was.
  • Loki: And what are you now?
  • Natasha: It's really not that complicated. I've got red on my ledger. I'd like to wipe it out.
  • Loki: Can you? Can you wipe out that much red? Dreykov's daughter, Sao Paulo, the hospital fire? Barton told me everything. Your ledger is dripping, it's gushing red, and you think saving a man no more virtuous than yourself will change anything? This is the basest sentimentality. This is a child at prayer. PATHETIC! You lie and kill, in the service of liars and killers. You pretend to be separate, to have your own code, something that makes up for horrors. But they are part of you, and they will never go away. (slams fist on glass)
  • I won't touch Barton, not until I make him kill you! Slowly, intimately, in every way he knows you fear. And then he'll wake just long enough to see his good work, and when he screams, I'll split his skull! This is my bargain, you mewling quim!
  • Natasha: (fearfully) You're a monster!
  • Loki: (laughs) Oh, no. You brought the monster.
  • Natasha: (returns to normal self) So, Banner. That's your play?
  • Loki: What?
  • Natasha: (into headpiece) Loki means to unleash the Hulk. Keep Banner in the lab, I'm on my way. Send Thor as well.
  • (to Loki) Thank you for your co-operation.
The feeling Loki must have had when, for the first time, finally people bowed to HIM, paid HIM respect, instead of seeing him only in the shadow of Thor, it must have been so powerful.
A warm surge in his core, melting away the memory of the cold, melting away the frost giant within him and letting him hide it. Pride; he was as worthy as his brother, and yes, even wiser! He could be a good king, a great king- better than Thor, and had he not been an accursed Frost Giant, a mere tool, Odin would have given him that title, not Thor.
But of course the people he considered friends- Thor’s friends- they only saw him as being manipulating and calculating. He really did want what was best for Thor, and that was why he refused to bring him back- the same reason he refused to ask Odin to bring Thor back. Of course, now it would also mean that Thor would take the throne, but the good of Asgard truly did matter despite his jealousy- or it did at the time. But of course no one would trust him because of how he came to the throne, and even for himself the glory of his ascension was tainted by the knowledge that his words had put the man he had loved as his Father into a state of near-death.  And the pain of his heritage being kept from. Even his Father lied to him, the man he put the most trust into.
It broke him, it changed him, and he could no longer bare it. He was seeking approval, a lost and hurt child, but every where that he sought praise or reassurance was not met with what he hoped and craved- or at least not in a way he could see it. Even his Mother could not see his pain, could not understand it, and the guilt was too much, so, being the sort that does manipulate, he told lies to his brother, who would bring ruin to Asgard, hoping to keep him away. He could live on Earth because while he hated his brother for living in the shadow of such a violent fool for so long, he still loved him. If he didn’t love Thor, then he wouldn’t have those tears in his eyes at the end of Thor. And he sought that approval later from Odin, only to be told again that he could not be Thor’s equal, as he saw it. That one syllable, that damning word, ‘No’, spoken softly to him when he just wanted to be acknowledged by the ones he loved. But he never got it, and so he just could not deal with his love for Asgard, for Thor, for Odin, so he left it behind him in that moment he let go of his spear, falling into space.
And thus a monster was born.

Avengers character highlights - Loki

Dear Tom Hiddleston “fans”,

lo-xox:

I don’t know how many of you follow Tom on twitter or know of the current situation that happened within the past couple of days but let me catch you up.

Some of you may have known that Tom followed “Yesim Osman”, who was genuinely his personal hair stylist on Avengers, well turns out that the person who was saying they were Yesim on twitter, plus her “sister” Tijen, who is also a hair stylist, were fake. The real Osman sisters don’t have a twitter and when they found out about this, were outraged.

Also, “Yesim” and “Tijen” had a friend named “Camila” who said she was moving to London. “Yesim” asked Tom when “Camila” was in town, if he could show her around and Tom being the nice fellow he is, agreed and even started following “Camila” on twitter. The pictures of this girl were gorgeous and I’m sure many were envious of her until I pointed out to “Yesim”, seeing as we followed each other, that the pictures “Camila” were using weren’t of her but in fact of Philippine model Anne Curtis Smith. She told me to “not worry about it” and that it was “totally harmless”. Promptly after that, Camila deleted her account. The next day, Yesim and Tijen deleted theirs after being called out by a friend of the real Yesim.

So the whole thing was a scam by girls, ALL in order to meet Tom. Now, I have to rationally think about this is terms that these girls were not thinking rationally and their mental capacity might be severely lacking to think that this was a good idea.

If I had the opportunity to ask these girls or girl a question it would be this: are you fucking serious?

Because of things like this and people like that, it will slowly but surely make Tom resent his fans and not want to be the humble, adorable, loveable person he is and spend hours signing autographs and taking pictures. It lets him know that his “fans” will do anything and pretend to be people close to him in order to just meet him. It’s crazy. It is batshit fucking crazy. And I’m really growing incredibly tired of the lengths of craziness his fans are going to.

I thought it was bad that people tweet him 50 times in a row just to get him to retweet them or say hi to them but this has crossed a line and has taken “obsessive” to a WHOLE new level.

Yes, he’s amazing, and talented and gorgeous and darn near perfect. HE. IS. JUST. A. PERSON. people need to remember this. he’s just an actor. he’s just a guy. he’s just tom. he’s not a god. he’s not your savior.

and whether people like it or not or want to hear it or not, his crazy obsessive fans are scarring him.

BECAUSE OF YOU, WE CAN’T HAVE NICE THINGS!

Dear Tom,

On behalf of all your rational, non-obsessive fans who just genuinely appreciate your work and think you’re a mega talented actor and great human being, I am so sorry for all of this. You don’t deserve it and I wish you still had your anonymity. Please don’t let the actions of others ruin your love for your job or your feelings towards your fans. We’re not all bad.

Sincerely,

The Real Tom Hiddleston Fans

I just saw The Avengers. I spent the whole movie flipping between these two expressions. My arms are tired!
